disclaimer! i dont know if youre supposed to make fan-shrines with an "educational" approach about stuff, or if you can just talk about WHY you like it, but i have decided to try and mix those two things together the best I can.

that being said, I really like Over The Garden Wall!

its a cartoon network mini-series released back in 2014 - it first aired on november 3rd, the same day as my birthday - with a total of 10 episodes.

It tells the story of two brothers, Wirt and Greg, who got lost in the woods of the unknown and are trying to find their way back home while avoiding the so-called beast.

there is some debate on the fanbase about wether or not what they experienced in the show was real or not - in the sense that it could have been a near-death hallucination, they could have actually gotten stuck in a limbo between life or death, or maybe it was a different place altogether - and I personally like to believe that the unknown is some equivalent of after-life, or a place of passage you go through when you die.

i resonate a lot with the themes of change the show has, because back when i first watched it, i was in my early teenage years and felt very lost. I related a lot to wirt cuz im pretty socially awkward and was struggling with a lot of anxiety back then. I still struggle with both of these things nowadays, but now I at least have gained experience from life.

over the garden wall easily became a comfort show for me, i often find myself going back to it from time to time, i truly consider it a masterpiece.
